The Insight
Sometimes it’s the simplest things that can send the right message. We’ve all seen that iconic yellow police tape. Far too often it’s used to mark yet another tragedy in the black community. What if we could embrace this police utility to send a deeper message in a language they can clearly understand.
The Idea
Truth be told, I wanted the tape to read “CAUTION POLICE BRUTALITY DO NOT CROSS” over and over again, until I realized adding fuel to the fire helps nobody. Instead, I changed the message to read BLACK LIVES MATTER and brought rolls to the marches and protests. The reaction exceeded all expectations and now I proudly sell the rolls here and donate 100% of profits after material costs to the organizations below.
